1998 Pinnacle Epix

In 1998, Pinnacle introduced an interesting chase set in Epix. The Epix cards were broken down into several chase sets, each introduced in different Pinnacle products during 1998. In order to make it even MORE complicated, there were three tiers (in order of difficulty): Orange, Purple, and Emerald. I must confess that I am not actually sure what the order of difficulty is for the chase sets. I know that the Play is the easiest, the All-Star Moments are relatively common and came from Pinnacle Plus packs, and that the Moment is the toughest of all, with the Emerald Moments being limited to 30 unnumbered sets. I have owned up to three of the Chipper Emerald Moments at one time, so my guess is that this stated print run was understated, and that the real number is close to 2x-3x that. Still, it's a gorgeous set that I am currently chasing slowly but surely. I do not believe that all 5 chase sets (Play, Game, Season, Moment, and All-Star Moment) were created for all players, as I have never seen a Chipper Game card.
