1997 Pinnacle Chipper Jones
Pinnacle - Solid base issue set with a couple of nice insert sets.
Pinnacle Certified - Neat expansion on the 1996 Certified product. While the Mirror parallels are nice, when Pinnacle went bankrupt in 1998, many of their 1997 products had the tendency to leak out to market. I believe their Mirror stated print runs about as far as I can throw them.
Pinnacle Totally Certified - very attractive, very high-end set. These packs cost ~$15 per back in 1997.
Pinnacle Inside - a neat idea of cards in a can. It only lasted for two years, but I remember fondly opening cans of these in the kitchen back in '97!
Pinnacle Mint - another neat product that introduced coins in the mainstream. A pretty nice set overall.
Pinnacle New - this set looked nice, but was emblematic of Pinnacle's overexpansion. There really wasn't a need for a "New" set. Also, the Spellbound series debuted here - I am actively trying to complete this set.
Pinnacle X-Press - another ill-fated product that only lasted one year, probably because it was so darned expensive to make. The Metal Works cards are gorgeous though, and totally worth the price of admission.
